Brief: Legends of thrash metal music Tankard are currently recording their new studio album R.I.B. (Rest In Beer). Tankard are signed to Nuclear Blast, the world’s biggest independent heavy metal music label with subsidiaries in Germany, the United States and Brazil.

And here’s the part you’ll love my friends... negotiations have been successful with Tankard and Nuclear Blast in Germany for RMIT’s Bachelor of Design (Animation & Interactive Media) students to produce an official music video for Tankard’s upcoming album scheduled for a June 2014 release (and to be followed up with their first ever Australian tour in July). Irrespective of your musical orientation, this is a high profile and über cool international client for your CV.

Hailing from Frankfurt Germany, Tankard have been a solid metal force for over 3 decades. Referred to as members of the ‘Big Tutonic Four’, Tankard are considered one of the four major pioneers from the 80’s German thrash metal scene and, still going strong, R.I.B. shall be their 16th studio album. Don’t let their down-to-earth image fool you, Tankard are true German thrash metal royalty with a sizeable worldwide fan-base.

This studio was delivered as part of the AIM Studio 4 course within the Bachelor of Design (Animation) at RMIT University.
