2019: Children of Bodom

Brief: Nuclear Blast is the world’s largest independent heavy metal music label and a major international client. This year the AIM Studio music video project has come full circle, back to where it all began with the über-cool Tankard.

CHILDREN OF BODOM are an extreme metal band from Finland, their music features elements of melodic death metal, thrash metal, symphonic black metal, and neoclassical metal. It would be fair to say they love metal. CHILDREN OF BODOM are a big deal internationally, but most particularly in Finland where they regularly debut at number one in the album charts. In their home country, CHILDREN OF BODOM have sold more albums than Elvis Presley.

In this studio offering, you will work in a group studio environment to produce a 2D animated music video for CHILDREN OF BODOM to promote their upcoming studio album and kick off their European summer tour.

This studio was delivered as part of the AIM Studio 5 course within the Bachelor of Design (Animation) at RMIT University.
