2023: Seaweed Appreciation Society International

Brief: As part of this project, students collaborated with their peers, tutors, and the Victorian not for profit organisation SASi (Seaweed Appreciation Society international). Students were involved in the creation and development of an animated outcomes to culminate in a collaborative exhibition with the client. They built on skills such as professional practice with an artistic focus, collaborative research and learning in a group format, concept development, artistic interpretations, and animation skills alongside exploring possibilities to use animation as a tool for community messaging, whilst also exploring their own roles in society both as an artist, as an individual, as well as part of a collective. At the end of this project students exhibited their works alongside a selection of artists at Blindside Gallery (Macroalgae Mobilisation).

This studio was delivered as part the Bachelor of Design (Animation) at RMIT University.
